Stanley Repluse Bay | 30 x 30cm

Repulse Bay focuses on the area near The Pulse. Stitching together the traditional with contemporary Hong Kong. The waterside Tin Hua Temple sits along the sandy beach. Locals and travellers pop into The Pulse to see the sun set on the ocean. Many grab a quick on-the-go coffee or stop to meet friends for brunch at the 'neighbourhood coffee' cafe. This work was created using copic fineliner & alcohol ink markers.

Artisit:

Jules (julesymaria) is a Brit/Aussie artist who has been lucky enough to live and work in Hong Kong for many years. As part of herseries 'Circle City Scapes', she has focussed on drawing her favourite spots of Hong Kong. She stitch together the old and the new as well as the traditional and the modern, celebrating Hong Kong and all it has to offer. Each piece celebrates the diverse communities which coexist in this metropoulos, highlighting the rich pockets of life which we all savour. Each drawing takes about 30 hours to complete, and is created using Copic fineliners and alcohol ink markers.
