The Indian artisans use a hooked needle instrument called a tambour to create the intricate chain stitching that is the hallmark of Suzani embroidery. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and due to the manually controlled nature of Suzani embroidery, you may notice little variations from one garment to another that add to the unique charm of a Suzani decorated item.
